Nexxera sprang from the evolution of Compumarket, a technology services provider created in 1992 in the city of Florianópolis, Santa Catarina. Because the other companies in this industry were utilizing third-party technologies, Compumarket launched an innovative solution which offered unique services at a lower cost. Skyline came to the fore -- an efficient resource that rapidly revolutionized the market and gave a new direction to relationships between banks, clients, suppliers and business partners.
In 2000, Compumarket changed its name to Nexxera Tecnologia e Serviços, S.A. From that moment on, investments in research and development became the company's priority. In the last few years, Nexxera has been in the market seeking partners who may be interested in forming alliances for the development of technological tools. It has also invested in the creation of new businesses and in participation in strategic organizations.
For its 15th anniversary, Nexxera begins a new stage -- offering corporate and financial management solutions for productivity chains. This concept has allowed for the expansion of the internal management frontiers of companies and has been translated into the e-Business Environment.

FINEP Award for Technological Innovation (2005)
The continuous innovative nature of Nexxera's products, adding increased security and benefits to its clients, brought recognition by FINEP in 2005. This award was given soon after Nexxera was chosen as one of the most innovative companies in Santa Catarina, in the state edition of the prize.

This recognition was the fruit of a strategy focused on technological innovation, with investment in R&D on the order of nearly 8% of annual turnover. During the prior three years, Nexxera had launched 12 new products, responsible for 31.6% of their R$9.5 million gross sales in 2003.

This year marked the most important transition stage of the company: it became a corporation, changing its name from Compumarket to Nexxera Tecnologia e Serviços, S.A. With this business scenario, Nexxera won the ADVB-SC Top in Marketing Award.
